Job Description:
A Major Music School is accepting applications from Voice, Drums, Violin, Guitar, and/or Piano teachers.
Our music school hires and trains musicians to teach music lessons.
You can teach part time or build up to full time. We have a physical music school in Columbia Mo where you will teach some or all of your lessons; however, most of our teachers also teach in-home lessons where they get paid an extra driving fee to go to the students house to teach.
The Guitar training program is very extensive. You learn our proven method of teaching as well as proper technique, but there's still plenty of room for you to add your own creativity to the lessons!
There is also advanced training available from everything from theory to other instruments.
The Drum training takes your knowledge of the instrument and shows you how to break it down and teach it in the most effective way.
There are also lesson plan outlines you may follow and as always you have room for your own creativity in the lessons.
For piano and vocals, we have a beginner course if you've never taught before and lots of tactics for teaching beginning and advanced techniques, as well as how to learn songs for your students and training on music theory.
We do not require teaching experience but you definitely need to know your way around the instrument very well. It is possible we could hire and train a good player who's not an expert, and only have them teach younger beginner students.
For Violin, the training program will be the general how to teach guidelines, but for violin you must already have lesson plans and know what to teach.
If you ever have any questions you may ask one of our several other experienced violin teachers currently teaching at our school (but at the moment they are all full and can't take on new students).
Lessons are usually one 30-minute lesson per week per student (with exceptions). Lessons will either be in-home lessons (where you will drive to the students house each week for the lesson) or at our music school in Columbia MO.
We usually like to start new teachers out with one or two and then add an additional one or two students per week. It is possible to obtain 30+ students, teach 15-20 hours per week, make $1,000+ a week, and $4,500+ a month.
If you have reliable transportation, have great communication skills, are a reliable person, patient, and love playing music then go to
